Being a Glutton
Nasi Lemak Ayam @ Seapark/Paramount Maybank
Just to share with you one of my favourite place to feast on our national favourite meal.
Paramount or Seapark in PJ. Near a Maybank, sitting by the roadside, risking being runover by car, you will find one of the best Nasi Lemak with a very yummy sauce and crispy fried chicken..Hmm!! I favor the sauce from the others because it’s more to the sweet side rather than extreme tongue numbing-spicy
Teh Ais + Nasi Lemak = Rm5+ ..price varies according to customer attitude? ha ha ha.. actually I can’t remember.
Also since it’s Monday = the start of a week AGAIN, I would like to share with you my favorite video of the week. If you find yourself being refused, just follow the steps of the panda.
Never say NO TO PANDA!
Kopi Cine @ Stewart Lane
Let’s continue the journey of searching for yummy tiramisu and quaint little hide out in Penang
Photos are all from Raye’s camera which is my dream camera – olympus p-1.. I want……
Er, but this place I suppose is not really considered a hideout anymore as it is quite well-known among the local. My friends, family and I had been here few times before as i love the place and coffee! Latte ♥
What I love the most is that they allows the patrons to draw nonsenses on their table! Like this! ha ha!

Our view for the entire afternoon while chatting. P-1 camera so nais, can cry…

I was there actually to catch up with my dear ex-colleagues from penang company.
The long awaited photo of the crunchy yummy Kahlua- Tiramisu. The cakes and dessert are between RM16-18++ which is expensive if you rate is base on Penang standard. However, I don’t think the restaurants target market are locals. This is the place where most tourist would stroll by instead of locals who shy aways from the sun like vampires.

Crushed Lime and Mint Soda, RM10. Healthy Kimmie’s drink. I don’t know the taste, dont dare to try. Too green for carnivorous me

I had the Strawberry, Banana & Orange Fresh Frappe, Rm14. Very suitable choice for a hot afternoon.
A photo of us again, since December. 8 months it took to schedule a meet up.

Went there again 2 weekends ago with TeongLi and MrSmallFace for them to try the cake. The following photos by BB and lx3.
Certified by Teongli. Complete with shiny, starry eyes.. hahaha ..stupid..
A mahjong paper, a glass of Buncho crayons and boys missing their childhood = unleash their drawing skills.

Have a good week people

Soul Kitchen, Muntri Street
Hey, hey, hey
Hey soul sister, ain’t that Mr. Mister on the radio, stereo, the way you move ain’t fair, you know!
Hey soul sister, I don’t want to miss a single thing you do…tonight
Few weekends ago, on a nice sunny Saturday afternoon, me and Mr.Smallface decided to try out this new place which I’ve read about while blog hopping.
sOul Kitchen at the end of muntri street, nearing Cititel Hotel Penang Road.
I don’t think it’s hard to find as the place is to colorful to miss
For this post, i tried to edit all of the photos so less words maybe? haha~ Don’t think it’s any nicer hmm.. The food pictures are unedited, just added in the frame and caption. Raw from LX3, rooarr
I ♥ this kind of small cafe.
Menus on the wall for all to see. No angry customer waiting for menus.
I bet Kimmie and Raye will love it too~! Yogurt Muesli served here for Kim!
Banana Orange Smoothie and Iced Cafe Latte, RM7 each. Size: ikea glass hahaha.. The place is filled with the nice aroma from the coffee machine that’s placed next to the counter.
They have the “open kitchen” concept here. No curtain or whatnots to block our view from watching chefs at work.
I had the Grilled Sandwich with Gammon Ham and sweet onion sauce. Very generous fillings and cheeseee! ♥ ♥ ♥
MrSmallFace’s Pasta which is the most expensive of the lot, RM19. Yet this dish would be highly recommended by me! Chickens bites are tender, pasta al dente, diced tomatoes with a zing of lemon taste overall. YUMS!
Salami Pizza to share, RM10. This is so-so. Had better.
To top off all the above which has been polished clean from the plates, we ordered the tiramisu cake, Rm10, which I read about as well.
True, it does not disappoint! For the soft type of Tiramisu, I think Ritz Bakery finally had a rival in Penang for the top placing.
Soul Kitchen; no harm giving it a try when you want to break the Penang Food Chain norm..
As for myself, I will be back for its Penne Pasta and definitely the tiramisu!
To end this post, I’ll just share a recent photo of myself
This is the first and might very well be the last image you will see me with contact lenses. I’m so vain at times. Haiz.. -__-
I must be one of those few people that the opticians would had love to slap if they have the authority to do so
Thank you aunties at Chan Kong Chan for your 1+ hr patience with me. I can’t help but blink :( I still fail at wearing the lenses ever since ……
Gayang Seafood Restaurant, KK
What is a trip to Sabah without Seafood being part of it ?
Unheard of!!
So after the long day at the Wildlife Park, off we go to Gayang Seafood Restaurant. According to my cousin, this restaurant is usually the choice for local while tourist usually picks Salut Seafood because it is like the first restaurant you will reach around this area. Gayang is located further down the road and not really visible from the main road.
The first thing you do before going to your table is to choose the live seafood which will be served to you in a bit! See the huge selection they have here? Actually Penang also got already
Noticed the plastic bottles in the tank? Each of the bottle actually contains 1 mantis prawn!! The boss explained that by doing this, the mantis can be separated with each other and will not fight. Thus, the mantis served will be in perfect condition. wow wow..
Plenty of Unagi.

The restaurant is shaped like a huge canopy on stilt next to the mangrove. or on the mangrove. whichever is more correct ..This is the crowd at 6plus in the evening.. we were lucky we managed to arrive early before it’s packed to the brim.
The view we had while waiting for our dishes. Very serene.
First up, Sabah weird vegetable #1 . Sabah Shu Cai Choy which I don’t like. But don’t take my word for it as I hate vegetables in case you haven’t noticed yet. Most of my food blog doesnt have vegetable
Sabah Egg noodle. We had this instead of rice. Not bad, but if you had too much, doesn’t taste so nice anymore.
We also had softshell crab but i think everyone will know how it look like, hence no pictures. The Mantis prawn was like RM20 each i think or less. I should have done this blog long ago. Almost forgotten most of it -__-
I suppose the way we had it cooked was wrong as the meat was hard to chew on.

We were actually very full at that time with just 3 person but every single table had the prawns. The table in front of us have like 4 plates of it and we just HAD to have it!!
I think MrSmallFace and CousinTing can vouched for me that it was the best decision we had made that evening. It was seriously damn good!! It’s cooked in a very simple way, buttered.
It tasted so good and mainly its because the prawns are so fresh!!

To show you the size of the prawns. Soft reminder, my face is very big so you can imagine the size of it ya T__T
The best part of it was the prawns cost us like RM20 only!!! DIRT CHEAP isnt it?
We polished everything off nevertheless. The entire meal cost us about RM120 and it comes free with coconut pudding.
A recommended dining experience for those who are looking for seafood in KK. You will have to drive there though or take a cab.

Kota Kinabalu – Part 1
In July, during world cup final week, me and mrsmallface Airasia our way to kota kinabalu. Our maiden trip to East Malaysia and there IS really a different from here.

First of all, we need to keep the visa issued upon arrival and present it before departure. Valid for 3 months. What was that about 1Ma..? huh? Get the basic right first okay?
After much research on accommodation, we settled for this quaint little boutique style hotel near Gaya Street – Eden54. It’s run by the owner herself therefore, you’ll be expecting the cream of the cake terms of service. It actually has all the basic stuff you will need in a room where you just sleep in. Clean, comfortable bed and nice tv. Do a quick check on tripadvisor if you like to know more or just look at the website. You’ll find almost all the info you need.
We rented a kancil for RM100 per day to drive around. Most of the places of interests are actually located out of KK. Do come prepared with a reliable GPS. The things we noticed is, the locals are really easy-going lots. They aren’t that calculative
very good *like*
Picked up CousinTing near her rented house and went straight to eat! What else!
Had this funky green milk tea – also known as Teh C Special. The last green layer still remains an unknown substance 0_O However, it’s nice! something you must try when you are in Sabah, you know? like Penang = Char Koay Teow -_-

Also, we tried the local dish which is something like Wan Tan Mee but it is called kampao mee instead. The soup is herbal base, not soy sauce hehe. It’s actually nice.

After filling our tummies to the brim, we went to visit the UMS campus and 1BORNEO before proceeding on our adventurous journey to find Lokkawi Wildlife Park. It took us longer because “someone” choose not to trust the gps *dark face*
Entrance fee @ RM10/pax for local.
Remember to join in the Animal Show, i think at 3pm daily. It was actually entertaining and surprisingly good for local zoo. haha! Like watching CousinTing losing to an Orang Utan.. hahaha!

Just to share some funny animals shots.
Lazy wildcat.

Obscene Orang Utan

proboscis monkey..is it even spell this way? It look so funny with the flat nose!!!

Some beautiful visitors to the Park.

And 2 boring human :P

Stay tune for the next post on one of the best seafood deal in KK
