March in photos

Month of March was full of many “1-st! ” and travelling! If I count travelling back to Penang from KL as travelling hohoho… :D

#10 Lake of the Returned Sword, Hanoi –  First ever oversea family trip or anywhere for that matter since I’m 3years ? or something like 20 years! More on that when I finish blogging about bali *if that ever happens -_-|| *

#11 Went back to penang to witness MrSmallFace’s only sibling signing away his bachelorhood and entering into another phase of life. Congrats to Rachel and Ian, wishing you both the very best in life :)

#12 outing to the Hot Air Ballon show at Putrajaya with the gang :) It was so crowded and there’s only a few creative balloons that we saw. Ended the weekend in Klang for bak kut teh and realising something that’s I’ve wanted to do for almost 10yrs! woohoo!!

#13 Went back to Penang again! and it’s rained from the highway to penang until the next day. T__T only 1 sunny day in penang.  Pretty Jazz after rolling around the rugs.. :)

Since i’m doing project 52, might as well blog about this week before i procrastinate any further. haha!

#14 Was a week of ups and downs. Mostly very down during the weekday, human can be so selfish and manipulative it’s so scary. Was a very negative weekday and so in dilemma. Hope things will get better :(  Because of that, I’m so glad I have a group of awesome friends ^^ People I can hang out with all day or rather whole weekend, talking nonsense and laughing ourselves silly for hours.  Went shopping and got myself a new blackberry !! :D Had Japanese food twice, and attempted to eat Snowflakes for dessert twice. Fail one, success 1 after a very healthy walk in the park! hahaha… We ate more than whatever calories we lost from the short walk -______-

Looking forward to the weekend again, but it’s only Monday today……..

Ubud Day 2

Such a long absent! So busy till my health took a toll on me :( Being out for 3 days last weekend and slept more than 20+ hours .. such bliss in a way

some of the pics we took on our bali day 2 which was spend sight seeing.

Random local kids :)

I would say Pura Taman Ayun can skip if you lack of time. Entrance fee required.

After about an hour drive or so, we reach Bedugul area further up north of the Bali Island. Lake Bratan was very nice! Should visit and the weather so cooling like Cameron highlands.

Had a lunch at a non-tourist place – Ayam Bakar Taliwang. As we wanted to try something new, we got our Super nice guide to bring us to a place HE would go himself. Superbly recommended. One of the cheapest and satisfied meal we had in Bali. The restaurant is just opposite the carpark of Lake Bratan. Walking distance.

We headed towards Tanah Lot after that. No sunset for us again :(( It was a cloudy day. They have a market there and the price are cheap.

Tips: Get your souvenirs or Bali Bintang t-shirt here.Me and Gisele got a tube dress for RM7 each! The bintang shirt are like RM3 each here too. Kuta shops are pirates!

It was a very nice stroll around the market before heading towards the super crowded Tanah Lot temple or the floating temple.  The temple is behind us and the scenery from here was amazing. Locals was surfing as well!  Thanks to our superb guide for bringing us. Too bad it was a very cloudy day and all photos doesnt turn out really well :(

Oh well, I’m sure I’ll be there again someday..

Infront of the temple already. If you notice, there’s people braving the waves to get over to the temple and had the holy mens blessings. At that time, the tide wasn’t really that high. Probably a little above ankle.

By the time we decided to go over, the water level rises way above our knee and it was a very scary experience actually. See the sexy legs behind me :)

I was being the scaredy cat and rushed to go over to the safe side as soon as possible. Not wanting to risk getting soaking wet. The tide was really scary and all of us were soaking wet by the time we wade back. Hence buying pants/dress on the spot -_-

It was almost waist high and the wave was so strong, I had to hold on to the temple helpers in order not to be swept away by the waves!

Leaving you with a photo of the temple and the temple helpers who had to swim back.

- Tanjong Sepat – Sepang Gold Coast –

Confession: Sometimes i have too many toy cameras, I tend to neglect some! OH! So sorry!!

Last weekend, my friends decided to be adventurous and we started to drive few hours towards Sepang Gold Coast.

Our top priority for any road trip needless to say would be to fill our tummies!! No matter where!

First stop: Famous Pau Shop in Tanjong Sepat. Hai Yew Heng. The town ain’t big at all. You’ll deff find it.

Old Dame hand-making the infamous pau while watching Astro..

Some uncle before us bought like 100 pau of the same flava? o_O We see them pushing few trays out within the few minutes we are there. RM2 per pau.. can you count how much they are earning per day.. $_$

You see all the auntie and uncles came by bus load hoarding in front of the pau shop buying pau. Because pau seems like the only famous and THING to see/buy here.

After we had bought some of our paus, we head over to a nearby jetty to feast. Not much photos, busy eating. Most of the finer images you see in this blog was taken by Duckie.

This is raw from Lx3. Unedited using the Dynamic Black & White.. I think it’s quite nice but then again, it’s my opinion only.. :p

Lepak at some restaurant.

After that we went to Sepang Gold Coast only to get denied entry for not being a guest (reasonable) So we lepak at the beach next to the water chalet for about an hour before we got chased away by the guards again. This time not reasonable because he just picked on us. The other people loitering around was not being picked on. Reason? We are blocking the view of the patrons.. Duhh…

The said patrons are sitting above the patio. hmm.

One of my favorite photo of the entire day. Thanks Duckie! MrSmallface look so cheeky… :))

I look like a lollipop here… Round face and non proportioned upper body.

Tired after prancing around so I just squat there for the rest of the time while the guys continue on snapping away.

By 7pm, everyone was famished again! We went back to Lover’s Bridge, Ocen Seafood for dinner and it was so packed. Waited and waited.. until we had a table and the storm just threw a huge fit!

We were like eating while soaking our feet in a pail -__-

Everything was not bad, the famous oyster fried egg was bigger than my palm. Haha! The clams in beer sauce was great and couldn’t remember the other dishes as we were eating in fear the whole place would just crash into the sea.

Did i not mention the restaurant was built on stilt above waters -__-

So gonna be a busy week. Actually halfway through, and I’ve already pulled my head bald already with the craziness at work.

Have a good week ya’ll!

Kota Kinabalu – Part 1

In July, during world cup final week, me and mrsmallface Airasia our way to kota kinabalu. Our maiden trip to East Malaysia and there IS really a different from here.

First of all, we need to keep the visa issued upon arrival and present it before departure. Valid for 3 months. What was that about 1Ma..? huh? Get the basic right first okay?

After much research on accommodation, we settled for this quaint little boutique style hotel near Gaya Street – Eden54. It’s run by the owner herself therefore, you’ll be expecting the cream of the cake terms of service. It actually has all the basic stuff you will need in a room where you just sleep in. Clean, comfortable bed and nice tv. Do a quick check on tripadvisor if you like to know more or just look at the website. You’ll find almost all the info you need.

We rented a kancil for RM100 per day to drive around. Most of the places of interests are actually located out of KK. Do come prepared with a reliable GPS. The things we noticed is, the locals are really easy-going lots. They aren’t that calculative :D very good *like*

Picked up CousinTing near her rented house and went straight to eat! What else!

Had this funky green milk tea – also known as Teh C Special. The last green layer still remains an unknown substance 0_O  However, it’s nice! something you must try when you are in Sabah, you know? like Penang = Char Koay Teow  -_-

Also, we tried the local dish which is something like Wan Tan Mee but it is called kampao mee instead. The soup is herbal base, not soy sauce hehe. It’s actually nice.

After filling our tummies to the brim, we went to visit the UMS campus and 1BORNEO before proceeding on our adventurous journey to find Lokkawi Wildlife Park. It took us longer because “someone” choose not to trust the gps *dark face*

Entrance fee @ RM10/pax for local.

Remember to join in the Animal Show, i think at 3pm daily. It was actually entertaining and surprisingly good for local zoo. haha! Like watching CousinTing losing to an Orang Utan.. hahaha!

Just to share some funny animals shots.

Lazy wildcat.

Obscene Orang Utan

proboscis monkey..is it even spell this way? It look so funny with the flat nose!!!

Some beautiful visitors to the Park.

And 2 boring human :P

Stay tune for the next post on one of the best seafood deal in KK !!
