Unless your phone is 3g enable or above, it’s useless in Japan because they run on a different network than the rest of the world(GSM) bla bla.

After much Google-ing, basically, if you want to be connected with others while in Japan, you can

1. Use roaming service (duhh) but extremely expensive. Japan will always be in the most expensive tier.
2. Rent a phone from the telco desk in Airport. It’s quite hard to rent one once you are out of the airport. The rental would be around US2 per day and comes with a simcard, which you settle the bill upon returning.
3. I believe you can rent a simcard but cost almost same as phone+sim

I wanted to rent a phone when I was there but due to flight delay all the counter was closed by the time I arrived T___T

If you plan to leech on wifi during your stay, I can safely tell you now that, FREE WIFI IS PRACTICALLY NON EXISTENCES. During my 12 days stay, I tried relentlessly to search for free wifi but there’s just none. Not even in McDonald,Starbucks or any cafes/restaurant. I was fortunate that the hotels I stayed in offer free wifi and broadband.

Anyway, Japan offers some nifty pocket wifi devices so you can be a walking modem wherever you are. Around RM160 for 1 week usage. That’s the final resort i think if you really really cant live without internet for a few days. For someone that is so attached to my phones, surprisingly I got on quite well. Maybe because I was on business trip and its just rude to use my phone infront of my boss

This is the metro card(Suica) i got together with the Narita Express ticket. They have special discount if you purchase them together at the airport. Only for foreigners and my Suica is so much cooler than the normal green penguin one that everyone else got. hahhaha

As I only travel around Tokyo, Suica alone is sufficient. If you plan to go out of Tokyo, I will suggest you to find out more about Japan Rail Pass. Only sold outside of Japan and you can have unlimited access on bullet train and JR line (i think? )

The ever confusing and extremely busy metro lines in Tokyo. More confusing than the London underground and Paris Metro as vouched by a French and English man too. I got along quite well just by taking the main green Yamanote line to all main areas.

It does help too with an apps I got on my phone ( trains.jp ) It will help you figure out which train to take, how much and time it takes once you key in your destination. The best best thing about this app is it does not require data to operate. #Win!

Sometime early this month, I was dispatch to Kuantan for work purpose. My boss is such a foodie, it was actually quite nice going on trips with him because he’ll be able to bring me to unique places to savor local delights.

As mentioned in previous post, I’ve so much good spots to share in the suburbs of Malaysia but I’ll start off with this. Simply because it’s not everyday you get to see my taste Curry Mee

This one especially are served with Wild Boar meat that is just so tender!! The noodle used are not the usual thick yellow noodle, instead it is kind of “flat” ? Like thin ruler…he he.. nice

It’s really rare to be able to try wild boar meat that are tender. Good! And the place operates in the middle of no where. In a small shack next to a field. That’s my boss, ignoring me, enjoying his meal

It cost less than RM12 for 2 glass of iced Milo and 2 bowls of noodle. Rest assure, the normal bowl portion are much bigger hehe..

Not until today at work, a colleague asked me to AX to shop and I refused, saying the stuff are so expensive. She come back with saying, I handover my plastic money faster than you can say Dior for stuff to be slathered on my face, which is not entirely false accusation when i come to think of it.

So turns out I’m a closet beauty junkie.  How not to? One harmless line eyeliners evolve into bags and bags of it through the college years till now.

Today I’m going to share with you my stash of war paint i use daily. Here’s only part of it, because I’m lazy to bring it all out and then put it back  hahahaha.. The below are mainly the stuff I use on a DAILY basis.

Moisturizer, eye cream, sun block/primer, concealer, light powder, eyeliner and blush. At night, to fit my lazy lifestyle, I use bobbi brown cleansing oil which doubles as a makeup remover. Very good, very recommended. Sometimes I’ll switch to my half-bottle Shu Umeara cleansing oil too. Then followed by moisturizer, serum, eye cream again.

Looking at above paragraph is tiring already!

Out of my stash, I have brushes from Shu, BobbiBrown and Estee Lauder. I have more than 3 mascaras that i barely use nowadays. Makeup palettes which will go to waste as well. I really have no idea how to really put on eyeshadows so 90% of the time i go without it.  However, from all of the palettes i have, I will recommend this to anyone. Majolica cheap and good. It has a light champagne color, green, dark blue and white = you can do almost anything with it. AND the best part is, it comes with instruction on how to create a look..haha idiot proof.

This lip balm/gloss is a gift from my cousin. So far, it’s my favorite as it’s not oily, nor sticky and taste/smells yummy! Some how, the tinted colors will warms up and melt to match your lips color plus it really does moisturize my lips.

Quite lost now on the entire point of this post, but just to show you the sharpness of my LX3 lens and also the latest lipstick I’ve purchased recently. I’ve heard raves bout Dior product and had always thought the price will be out of my reach. Turns out it’s not really thaaat expensive. Still oklaa..

After using this on several occasions, I can now say, I do love Dior product and seeing myself as a returning customers. Usually i hate lipsticks but for work purposes, I had too grrr.. This particular one, doesn’t make my lips feels dry, long lasting and pretty!! hehe i like !

Also to share are my favorite online makeup gurus. The best that I will recommend to any banana Asian is Fuzkittie. She’s one of the few Asians makeup gurus online that speaks good english (duhh) and at least I can related to. Fair and Asian. The other youtube videos are, well, western people with bone face structures.

Another one which is quite famous would be RiceBunny. Although she has mad makeup skills and all that, I do feel that she’s slowly swaying into commercialization recently. So no like anymore but still admire her gila makeup skill like no one’s business. Look her up on youtube if you want.

I guess I’ll end this post here I do really think that IF you have the money and put in the effort, no women is ugly.

Everday I work closely with 2 BB user at the office.

Ever since my friend, Buaya got his bb, he start raving about it non-stop to me.

Then I start to feel I’m actually isolated from my family members because I did not know that

-  my own brother actually bought a newww car.
- my cousin was admitted to the hospital
- she was then discharged shortly.

All because I do not have BBM. They seems to share everything~!! but only to their BBM group T__T

When I asked my uncle, how’s my cousin, he just replied ” You wouldn’t have the need to ask this Question should you have a bb”   -____________________-

and that came from a 66 year old man.

ONE FINE DAY, DivaLisa dropped my phone (as a 2nd phone to her) (obviously BB is her #1 phone) )  To the extend that it’s beyond recognition and makes funny noises when we assemble it back.

That means I have to get a new phone and give her back the e71. Coincidentally or not, my house mate told me that they are having some cheap digi plan over at lowyat plaza

It was no April Fool~

I was kinda fed-up with all the shitty services and charging for every single thing Maxis, that i’m more than ready and happy to ditch it and run back to Digi. All the talk about how great Maxis service, was obviously in the past. The service I got from their in Gardens are beyond shitty and looks down on me, like I cant afford any phones or pay my bills.

Who in the world would want to stick with you now that we can switch operators but holding on to our numbers? Think about it shitty maxis.

Drove all the way from PJ to Lowyat on a rainy day with Speng to see the plan for myself.

So here I am today, BB 80% glued to my palm with all the tring tring tring going on

Been using it since Thursday, and so far I love almost everything about it compare to my old phone. xcept it’s disability of navigating me around, but i think it’s all good. The camera’s good and the Qwerty keypad feels better and easier to type with.

A friend calls it potato cos it’s short and round, but then again, it makes long period of time spending typing on it better. In terms of weight and camera, BB won too~

I tell you, these ppl who have BB (including me) are such fanatics. It’s a bloody cult and I can’t help but rave about it too. Simple because it will save me sms cost in a long long run if I have my circle of friends using it too

I was wrong! Woohoo was beautifully made!

Its was so funny, the lines are cleverly infused with local puns and jokes. Especially making fun oh Penang “slang”. Got Meh??? Abit Nia la… cis cis

Also contains  some moral values in it. Like bits about Family, ah kong, ah ma, ah pa stories. But all in all, very nicely made. (mentioned dont no how many times already )

The mood setting of the entire film is very nice as well. Don’t know how they are able to capture the beauty of Malaysia kampung life. It’s like 500 days of Summer minus love story, more localize

My old lumix served me well and is showing signs of retiring ages. Plus, i’ve been wanting to own a LX3 since I saw it last year during Jazz Festival…

So after lunch, me and MrSmallFace finally got to watch 2012 together. I think its a nice movie. The impact of the natural disaster scenes was great!

Dinner was at Sid’s Pub, Bangsar South. Been wanting to try the place after reading so much review from everywhere.

They renovated the place to make it look like any other of the thousand pubs in UK. Knowing how I love UK, it’s the perfect place for my birthday. Simple dinner with the group of friends, just like always, everyone rowdy and happy clappy.

The place was very full and we had to wait for almost 20mins to get a table for our party of ten. So while waiting, we ordered a couple of pints. As you can see, mine is already half gone ZzzZzz…

The place serves all sorts of beers from the tap. To my delight, they have cider…!\

No further a due, Cheeboo’s spring chicken.

This blue cheese with mushroom is so so so good! I ordered it halfway through our meal and no regrets. I love cheese and mushroom, this dish have best of both HMmmmm!! Almost everyone was dipping their fries into the oozy cheesy goodness.

My “Ben Nevis” burger which is double pork patties, egg, bacon AND  cheese..Can you say “WOW!”

It tastes so delicious! Will definitely go back again for it. again and again.

MrSmallface Pork Vindaloo. It was too spicy for me that I can’t really taste anything..

I love reading Enid Blyton’s while I was young and very much influence by it. There was once I stumbled into a shop selling all the trinkets and charm in Sheffield but all I can afford is stare and admire how pretty and shiny all the tiny charms are. Now I own one ♥ ♥ ♥!!! Weeee…

The next day, DivaLisa treated me to a nice lunch at Apartment.

Before dropping MrSmallFace to the airport, we had a simple dinner at Kissaten, Jaya One. Highly recommended.

The food are reasonable priced and good with great portions.

The first birthday treat this year was from my boss on Friday. Nasi Bojari from Madam Kwan. I actually prefer the Nasi Lemak much much more.. hmmm

After work, went home early to do laundry and finally watched “500 Days of Summer”

Highly recommended!! They tell you upfront that it’s not a love story and it’s not! Which is quite sad but real. I like Joseph Gordon-Levitt so much!! Even back when he’s Tommy Solomon from one of my favourite sitcom 3rd rock from the sun. He has definitely came a long way but still has that twinkle in his chiney eye

Love the whole cinematography of the film. Read somewhere in the internet that it seems like every scene can be made into wallpaper which i totally agree. While watching this, couldn’t help but “feel” with Tom (same character name!!)

About the wardrobe the girl had throughout the entire movie? That’s loveeeeee…… Eyeliner, Red lipstick, summer dresses, vintage bags haiz.. Love!!

Oh another thing, i still think “Tom” looks awfully abit like Prof Shi. Single and studying in Mancherster now..heheh

Then last year, i was introduced to Diana series by Kimmie because before that I intended to get Holga. Anyway, I can’t afford any of it .

Until earlier this year, I got the UWS to add to my le familiaz Then I got my first roll of UWS developed, i so loved the end result, which pushed me further into looking at getting a diana vs holga. But diana eventually won due to the vast lenses and versatility it offers.

Do you know how out of of the world I felt when I know that an instant back can be fitted to Diana = producing the best of both world, best combination. INSTANT LOMOGRAPHY!!! that would have to wait though, until i get a firm grip it.

It was so damn difficult to get the lomo that you want, not mentioning a reasonable price one. After I did some homework, I decided to get DianaF+ Qing Hua from lomokids. They offer a HUGE range in malaysia that is at a very reasonable price. Cheaper than Mooks or those at Wondermilk. The only downside is they have a 10 days lead time for the item to arrive.

That’s why most of the people on my MSN list were wondering “who the hell is diana!! ” as my status reads: Diana come to mama!! and when I tell them sheepishly “its a toy camera” most responded with a long

So unlike MrSmallFace, who by the way, got Diana for me!!!! ♥♥♥♥ Early birthday present. To avoid any disappointment, real smart move. hahaha!

Definitely will recommend anyone who intend to get a camera  from lomokids. On time in delivering and helpful too.
