Kota Kinabalu – Part 1

In July, during world cup final week, me and mrsmallface Airasia our way to kota kinabalu. Our maiden trip to East Malaysia and there IS really a different from here.

First of all, we need to keep the visa issued upon arrival and present it before departure. Valid for 3 months. What was that about 1Ma..? huh? Get the basic right first okay?

After much research on accommodation, we settled for this quaint little boutique style hotel near Gaya Street – Eden54. It’s run by the owner herself therefore, you’ll be expecting the cream of the cake terms of service. It actually has all the basic stuff you will need in a room where you just sleep in. Clean, comfortable bed and nice tv. Do a quick check on tripadvisor if you like to know more or just look at the website. You’ll find almost all the info you need.

We rented a kancil for RM100 per day to drive around. Most of the places of interests are actually located out of KK. Do come prepared with a reliable GPS. The things we noticed is, the locals are really easy-going lots. They aren’t that calculative :D very good *like*

Picked up CousinTing near her rented house and went straight to eat! What else!

Had this funky green milk tea – also known as Teh C Special. The last green layer still remains an unknown substance 0_O  However, it’s nice! something you must try when you are in Sabah, you know? like Penang = Char Koay Teow  -_-

Also, we tried the local dish which is something like Wan Tan Mee but it is called kampao mee instead. The soup is herbal base, not soy sauce hehe. It’s actually nice.

After filling our tummies to the brim, we went to visit the UMS campus and 1BORNEO before proceeding on our adventurous journey to find Lokkawi Wildlife Park. It took us longer because “someone” choose not to trust the gps *dark face*

Entrance fee @ RM10/pax for local.

Remember to join in the Animal Show, i think at 3pm daily. It was actually entertaining and surprisingly good for local zoo. haha! Like watching CousinTing losing to an Orang Utan.. hahaha!

Just to share some funny animals shots.

Lazy wildcat.

Obscene Orang Utan

proboscis monkey..is it even spell this way? It look so funny with the flat nose!!!

Some beautiful visitors to the Park.

And 2 boring human :P

Stay tune for the next post on one of the best seafood deal in KK !!

Vino @ Pulau Tikus

Suppose to visit the hottest watering hole in penang but due to super heavy rain that night, we made a detour to a small wine shop. Which has a small wine bar right next to it, filled with strong delicious cheese smell.

A place called The Wine Shop, just the road sandwich between Pulau Tikus Bee Cheng Hiang and old Shakeys

Loving the place

I know that we will revisit the place again in the future.

Another fun night with the brady bunch :)

Our only group photo of the night. Hahaha.. The guy in the middle is still single/maybe..

Remember Diana?

Finally got the little forgotten roll of film to be developed last sunday. Almost 2 months since I finished this roll in Malacca

At least not as disastrous as roll # 2, but still light years behind of any other lomographer out there :(

Any advise on how to improve? At least shooting in the correct frame? or do you people crop before posting up on flickers and all that?

ho hum…

One Fullerton

Was in Singapore few weeks ago with Mr.Smallface

We were suppose to reach city center by 10pm but.. (there’s always a stupid but) the queue to verify our passport was so bloody long.

Since it’s like the first touristy visit for me to Singapore, my twin (not biologically, just same birth-date) and super sweet girlfriend already had in mind a few places where I die die also must go..take a couple of photo..and go.. hehe

All photos by Lx3 without tripod..power..

Coincidently, we were all wearing striking colorful tops!

Which seems to match the beaming pillar near the walk or something.

See if you are able to spot a ghost.

Before 14th February

Since Mr.SmallFace birthday’s fall a few days shy from Valentines Day and we all KNOW that valentines day is when all the restaurants and florist get a huge chunks from all mark-up ridiculous prices, we decided to celebrate it earlier :)

Mario’s Italian ristorante is the choice of gluttony as we have heard so many raves about it.

Huge Salmon Pizza to share. Bigger than my face!

They were definitely very generous with the salmons strewn all over the very nicely hand tossed pizza base.

Ooooo… creamy creamy carbonara :D This is uber yummy!!

The photos that waiter/waitress took is always blurry fml..why la … T___T I think the below photo look quite sad lor.. Like the entire restaurant no more seat, they have to put up with us at a small table next to the kitchen exit ..

The happy birthday boy!! Must happy la, get his dream birthday present wor…. Now sometimes, I just got ignored at the corner..Regret T__T

Eh, his birthday but I also got gift  hahaha

Now my charm bracelet is almost complete!

So happy! One from all the dearies, one from Family and another one from MrSmallFace..!

Now all i need to do is buy one for myself and I think it’s a complete charm bracelets with blessings all around :))
