They were definitely very generous with the salmons strewn all over the very nicely hand tossed pizza base.

The photos that waiter/waitress took is always blurry fml..why la … T___T I think the below photo look quite sad lor.. Like the entire restaurant no more seat, they have to put up with us at a small table next to the kitchen exit ..

It is considered as the start of the new year even! It has always been very happening event in Penang. With fireworks, some say “bomb” going off nonstop pass midnight, with a very long stretch of offerings which means feasting at the end..

Haiz, how i miss witnessing it all at Jetty area penang. It’s like War zone but can’t seem to find another place like it.

Anyhoo, as a hokkien, i will start the new year with a roaring “banging” new haircut.. haha!

It was also a first time for me to do highlighting. Don’t like the process, think the result is like coloring the whole head, maybe cos of the color i choose. I find myself looking so silly with all the aloy foils in my hair..!

I never had fringe ever since form 1.. that’s like..X years ago..wtf.. When the stylist suggested to me, I kept repeating to myself, “It’s just hair, its just hair, it will grow -____-”  This is after the stylist blow nicely for me.

Let me see if I still like how it looks after I wash it myself. Most probably will keep it long…  Dont know how to keep the fringe “round” and proper like that.. hohohoho.. For now, let me be the cat in the melon ehehe!

ps: already got alot of  SHOCKED responses with my decision.. Some say i look like Japanese, some say i look like i just ran out from Kampung.. haiz..

I would think it will be a while until the next post and is here to wish everyone a happy chinese new year!!

Right, few months ago (according to the date in photo properties, it says october -_-) we had nothing much to do and had wanted to do something other than eat and mahjong for our weekend. Something to make us sihat!! heheh

Mr.Smallface and Desmond assembling the kites, while me and Speng just play around. The kites are quite cheap. Around RM5 for one i think.

First time flying kite for dear speng, obviously she very enthu over the entire “activity” .

I just ran around clumsily with all my stuff in my bag over my shoulder. And then just sit around watching the guys competing who can fly the kite higher. Boys will always be boys wtf..

We (girls) do what we are good at.. with 2 slr around.. hehehe . One of my favourite and only portrait :)

I borrowed the title of this post from this blog “HERE”. Stumbled across it when i was blog hopping around. Love the pictures and how she lives her life! From the title, its easy to guess that she’s a happy modern day hippie living in a RC with her family..

Ps: I don’t know the name of the park we went. we just carpool car there. I called it layang-layang park. There’s always a lot of kites flying whenever i drive pass. I drive pass also follow GPS, cos i dont know my ways around.

I was at BSV with DivaLisa and JangHeng waiting for elevator. When the stupid elevator do not have a sensor to reopen the door, hence DivaLisa stumbled a few steps back …

on to my foot!!!!

which caused me intense pain! It was so painful I instantly can not stand and had to lean against the wall for support. According to Jangheng my whole face went red…

At first, we thought its just a “normal” step on the foot zZzZzzz but then start to see a line of red blood forming..and blood suddenly gushes out..  

Super tak sangka heels can caused such pain and injuries.. No wonder they are nicknamed KILLER HEELS!

It seems quite serious and swelling was noticeable. But it was 9pm and I had eaten nothing since lunch. I hobbled over to Mdm Kwan, polished off half of the fried rice and only start to look for clinic to get it cleaned.

Past experience with such cut and i skip visiting the doctor made me regret till today :( Left my knee with a huge scar.

The doctor jab me with a tetanus shot as precautionary too and left my arm numb..fml fml..! :(

Well, they always say all clouds has a silver lining. Today is a very good day for my career. Hopefully it marks a good year!!

Having said that, when the management give you a chip of the chocolate bar, they expect you to give them a whole bucket of gold. Good luck to me!

Never expected that a local production would be so so sought after until i need to kept on trying to get tickets for 2 weeks. -___-

I thought after Yasmin Ahmad passing,  Malaysia movie industry will be bleak.

I was wrong! Woohoo was beautifully made!

Its was so funny, the lines are cleverly infused with local puns and jokes. Especially making fun oh Penang “slang”. Got Meh??? Abit Nia la… cis cis

Also contains  some moral values in it. Like bits about Family, ah kong, ah ma, ah pa stories. But all in all, very nicely made. (mentioned dont no how many times already )

The mood setting of the entire film is very nice as well. Don’t know how they are able to capture the beauty of Malaysia kampung life. It’s like 500 days of Summer minus love story, more localize

I seem to go here quite often nowadays. Almost every trip back to penang, somehow I’ll end up here … turning supersitious or just better pray then be sorry later… ekekekkeke

Today I bring you to Ninja Joe, a fairly new burger/fast food place at Tropicana Mall, PJ. To get there, i practically have to walk less than 300 steps from my house. Hohohoh.

After bermahjong dry swimming and watching stupid clips the entire afternoon at my place, we lazily walked over to have some quick dinner before continuing on our weekend activity.

The “restaurant” is located at the basement next to Carrefour. Very easy to spot cos of the red walls.

Actually the burgers are quite pricey. But the more burger you buy, the cheaper it is!  1 for RM5.9, RM8++ for 2 and so on and so on. If you can prove that your name is Joe, then you get a discount too.

Will strongly recommend the shurikens. Or sounds something similar. Pork and potato deep fried. Yummeh~The size of the burger itself is quite small. We had 6 burger among 4 of us. hohoho. You can give the fries a miss. Nothing special.

The De-Bachilazation troops. We are all de-bachilize already. heheh

Contrary to common belief, using 35mm films would be easier. It might so much easier to buy and develop but i face difficulty when advancing the film cos the indicators seems wrong or i just don’t know how to read it. Plus because its 36frames, there will be more films gathered at the spool, higher chance of getting stuck halfway too.

okay,time to criticize my films..

From my 36 frame roll of film, only 24 managed to be processed and more than half failed :(

#1 This is an example how a nice photo can be destroyed by a lab staff where they usually dont handle films anymore t.t  The below is incorrectly cut and then scanned. Hence the image is not cropped correctly to be center.

The frame that I used for this roll was  square over the sprockets but i failed to informed the shop and i guessed they just cut it all away  Although I can digitally crop it and make it nicer myself but then i’ll be missing the entire point of lo-fi photography.

The common noobie mistake when one uses a fully manual camera is forgetting to adjust the:-

1. Aperture

2. Focus

3. Taking into consideration the film ISO

#2 That’s why some of my photos are too up close, like the entire frame is filled with the focus object. Most of the focus for this roll was set at 4meter, meant to shoot something from afar -__-

#3 Mentioned above, when advancing to next frame, I do not know when to stop turning!! and therefore, overlapping frames…Mistake below are, not focus properly and overlapping.

#4 Double expose film. I think this is nice

#5 Double expose negative too. Wrong aperture setting.

Having said all the above, making all the “mistake” is how i learn to understand my Qinghua better ^_^ and the experience of handling a fully manual camera is fun! Never knowing the end product until you excitedly hand the roll of negative over the counter to get develop

Now i’m in the midst of going through my 2nd roll 120mm expired film. Will share when I have them develop.  Not sure what else was missed out but i think will be well covered in next post. hehe
