Week 30 – Ladycow Birthday

Not sure how does the nickname came about. Sometimes I call her Speng sometimes Ladycow on the blog.

Went to 7atenine for the girl’s birthday. Like this picture of us.

My besties  So happen we are all dressed color coordinated.

I came all the way from Penang and all i get is a chop mohor on my forehead T____T

Mario’s Italian ristorante is the choice of gluttony as we have heard so many raves about it.

Huge Salmon Pizza to share. Bigger than my face!

They were definitely very generous with the salmons strewn all over the very nicely hand tossed pizza base.

Ooooo… creamy creamy carbonara This is uber yummy!!

The photos that waiter/waitress took is always blurry fml..why la … T___T I think the below photo look quite sad lor.. Like the entire restaurant no more seat, they have to put up with us at a small table next to the kitchen exit ..

The happy birthday boy!! Must happy la, get his dream birthday present wor…. Now sometimes, I just got ignored at the corner..Regret T__T

Now my charm bracelet is almost complete!

So happy! One from all the dearies, one from Family and another one from MrSmallFace..!

Now all i need to do is buy one for myself and I think it’s a complete charm bracelets with blessings all around

So after lunch, me and MrSmallFace finally got to watch 2012 together. I think its a nice movie. The impact of the natural disaster scenes was great!

Dinner was at Sid’s Pub, Bangsar South. Been wanting to try the place after reading so much review from everywhere.

They renovated the place to make it look like any other of the thousand pubs in UK. Knowing how I love UK, it’s the perfect place for my birthday. Simple dinner with the group of friends, just like always, everyone rowdy and happy clappy.

The place was very full and we had to wait for almost 20mins to get a table for our party of ten. So while waiting, we ordered a couple of pints. As you can see, mine is already half gone ZzzZzz…

The place serves all sorts of beers from the tap. To my delight, they have cider…!\

No further a due, Cheeboo’s spring chicken.

This blue cheese with mushroom is so so so good! I ordered it halfway through our meal and no regrets. I love cheese and mushroom, this dish have best of both HMmmmm!! Almost everyone was dipping their fries into the oozy cheesy goodness.

My “Ben Nevis” burger which is double pork patties, egg, bacon AND  cheese..Can you say “WOW!”

It tastes so delicious! Will definitely go back again for it. again and again.

MrSmallface Pork Vindaloo. It was too spicy for me that I can’t really taste anything..

LadyCow’s chicken in a basket. Which is chicken strips and fries in a basket.

Lancashire Pot. No idea what it is as did not tasted it.

i just love my order for that night. Meat and cheese galore ♥ If i’m not careful, surely will gain all the weight that I’ve lost…

With my only cake this year.  They gave me the cake before twelve with XX number of candle…

I’m gonna make taking instant photo with birthday cake a tradition.

And then soon after the clock strike twelve, the gang suddenly start singing again. To my surprise. It’z my favourite mille crepe cake. Thanks LadyCow for remembering. ♥

The guys gave me the key to join the charm club..

It’s something for them to start and MrSmallface to continue hehehe. I bet many people did not know that I’ve been wanting to have  a charm bracelet for the longest time. I love reading Enid Blyton’s while I was young and very much influence by it. There was once I stumbled into a shop selling all the trinkets and charm in Sheffield but all I can afford is stare and admire how pretty and shiny all the tiny charms are. Now I own one ♥ ♥ ♥!!! Weeee…

Thanks guys for such a nice, cozy night!! Eh, but how come the picture is missing Rubberband??

The next day, DivaLisa treated me to a nice lunch at Apartment.

Before dropping MrSmallFace to the airport, we had a simple dinner at Kissaten, Jaya One. Highly recommended.

The food are reasonable priced and good with great portions.

My weird ginger beer. I don’t know why I ordered it. Properly cos I fancy the packagin -__-

Finally when I went home, MrSmallFace left a final surprise for me under my bed. I practically had to crawl all the way under it to get it…ZzzZzzz

Surprise, no?? I bet you are surprise too  So creative, always the artistic ones ♥

It was a great weekend well spent. Happy Happy ♥♥♥  MrSmallFace did an awesome job arranging everything. If there’s anything that went wrong during the weekend, its only me to blame for being such a control freak and too smart to surprise.. ngek ngek ngek…

Just like that another year has gone by. Grown a year older and i hope wiser with the things I learn in life. Definitely half the size  AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA ..

It was one bittersweet event for me. That’s for sure. Last 2 year, it was nearly a week of celebration. The following one was a stark contrast as I was all alone in Blyton, UK. Plus, as the clock striked 0:00 on the 15th, i was in the hospital =.=

So  i was finally in Penang for my birthday after a 4-5 years absence, gosh i can’t even remember myself. This year, it falls on a weekend. With all that adding up, i had to admit i have high hopes for a fabulous friends get-together this year as it was such a lonely yet “finding-yourself” one last year.

1 fine weekday i started to ask a close friend whether he is free to come hang out on Saturday night. The reply is a very very hurtful by Jsheng and I was flabbergasted beyond words. I know I couldn’t go on and ask another friend and got turned down yet again so i dispatch Ynnek to do the job.

Thursday was one whirlwind of emotion. I was going haywire with Airasia booking flights here and there ending up being hugely disappointed when i couldn’t get even 1 destinantion. Not even 1 After dinner, I was already extremely moody and when Ynnek told me 2 of my bestest friend is ‘thinking about it’ on whether to come on Saturday, THAT was my limit. I am not sure why I did not question their suspicious answer, I guess I just had enough disappointment for 1 day and just don’t care anymore. THAT was also when my damn dam broke.

On Friday itself, we (my colleagues) often complain that we don’t have anymore life, so Kimmie suggest that we should go hang out! I agreed, obviously since I dont have plans at all. SO unlike me!

Soi 11 it is. And I had my first beer tower in Penang. and also encountered the weirdest waitress ever =.=

My first surprise was the cake which we had a hard time keeping the candles lited. The funny thing of the photo as wanster commented…People are blocking the winds so hard while you are wishing there… yala yala

Move on the next pub. Then had another gift. Downing a flaming seems like obligatory thing to do once you go climb the digit in age.

Good thing i have a balance alcohol tolerances…HAHAHAHAHA Good thing TeongLi or Erhuat not around. Or else i bet i would be dead. So dead.

Past 12 and the countdown to next year Nov 15th starts all over againnn…

On the actual day, I had NO motivation to dress up or go anywhere albeit ynnek was at my house kinda early and urging me to change change change! I’m bring you out! =.=

We had a table at the restaurant for 2. And when we arrive the waitress kinda screw up alil for ynnek, anyhoo we were led to our small corner table and while i was deep in my thoughts on what to order, Pwah suddenly pop up behind my seat…followed by Pling..and Hin.. =.=

HAHAHA I knew it! was a surprise..okokla..not very surprise cos i kinda saw the reservation book when we walked in *hng!*

Then we were moved to private room which was too big for the party of 5 so I suspected something again. Pling helped alot here by saying ” It’s okie, more ppl coming!”

HAHAHHAA...2nd pecah tembelang of the night..

Then halfway eating the lights dimmed and the cake was brought in no other than Jsheng!!! I was about to cry but being the vain me i kept thinking “mascara, eyeliner, mascara, eyeliner” to stop me from crying -______-

The best surprise, the one i am really surprise was when Christal walked into the room. I wasn’t expecting for her to drive all the way back from KL for the dinner.

Ynnek has been really sneaky behind my back!! He got whoever he can get his hands on to come for dinner! The rare photo combo you dont get to see everyday! OWP and Christal. God know when is the last time they took any photos together!  

Then Pling innocently asked me “So you guys going to Sunset later?” where I nonchalantly turn towards Ynnek “ARe we?”

HAHAHAHA Ynnek expression was priceless. 3rd pecah tembelang!

No matter how successful or not successful you might think the “surprise” was, it WAS a success as I was crying my eyes out earlier. That already show I walked into the trap willingly.

Thank you all for putting in the effort again. You guys know how i “LOVE” surprises and well played by making use of my weakness which are, well, your very own self my dear friends Thanks to the one that planned all that as well and I know how hard it was watching me cry YET you can’t say anything.In the end, it turns out that Friday night was part of the plan as well.

Nothing more that I can say except watch out when its nearing your birthday as remember, I AM a scorpio…hahahahahhaha

Just Kidding..i love you guys~ and oh, to the guy that send me birthday card every single year since i know you. I know, old school style since we have generation gap..hehehehe

That aside, I’m stealing alil bit of time from work to blog about Desmond’s birthday which just passed not long ago. Last Tuesday to be exact. I miss out last year bash because I was, i think London. But the amazing two-0ne still remain fresh~
